Over 60% on the Way to Retiring Our Debt
Thanks to many of you, we were incredibly successful during our initial fundraising initiative, and were able to retire over $60,000 our financial obligations (see FAQ) in just a couple of months. A problem that looked like it might drag on for many months or years now looks quite solvable and we'd love your help in putting it to rest so we can focus on moving forward. Small Monthly Donations: Moving into Ongoing Sustainability
34 people have already signed up to give us a regular monthly amount, ranging from $5 to $400 per month, adding up to $900 every month. While we hope for significant donations to continue to arrive until our debt is fully retired, we also are aware that a steady flow of many small donations on a monthly basis is likely to contribute enormously to our ongoing sustainability as an organization.
We've had donations from so many places in the world, and are particularly happy to hear from anyone who is from outside the US. With PayPal, it's relatively easy to donate wherever you are, and even small amounts on a regular basis are welcome. The first year of your pledge, if made between now and September 28, counts toward the matching grant.

Lean Operations
We're on much firmer footing in terms of how decisions are being made; lots of safeguards in place to prevent developing deficits in the future. Our trainers have formed a robust collective and are making decisions using the principles of NVC efficiently and with care. Once the model is entirely solid, much of their energy will focus on envisioning what kind of a future we can all create together.

New initiatives are beginning
We are beginning to have sufficient energy to focus on where to go next. We have about two dozen projects we are considering, looking for a way to leverage what we have to offer, utilizing our gifts to make a visible difference in the world. In the coming weeks and months we plan to solicit input from you to help us make our decision about which direction to go. Meanwhile, we are getting ready to make our first new hire: a development person that can help us capitalize on the momentum and goodwill we have tapped into and focus most effectively on contributing to the world of our dreams.

 10th Anniversary Party - Nov 18th - Organizer Sought
To celebrate the miraculous recovery from the crisis we've suffered, to acknowledge 10+ years of operating, to raise further funds, and to bring together our community as we move toward a sustainable future, we are planning a 10th+ Anniversary party and looking for an event organizer. We have secured a venue and we are looking for someone with experience in planning and producing events to manage this project. If you can organize a great event on a dime - please contact Dave Belden.
